The popular barbeque restaurant Colt Grill is allegedly tied to accusations of money laundering and labor exploitation as part of a “complex criminal investigation,” Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.
Homeland Security Investigations and “multiple other federal agencies” are involved in the investigation, YCSO said.
Up to four people have been arrested and over 20 immigration-related arrests have taken place, according to a spokesperson for Homeland Security Investigations.
At least 28 search warrants were executed in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Cottonwood, Sedona and Foley, Alabama in relation to allegations of money laundering and human smuggling, the spokesperson added.
