The Government of the Virgin Islands has launched a new public awareness campaign, “Business Done RIGHT,” to educate people about keeping BVI businesses clean and free from financial crime.
A key part of the campaign is Riley Right, the official mascot, who will appear on different platforms to help the public recognize signs of money laundering and other suspicious activities. The goal is to make financial security easy to understand and encourage everyone to help protect the BVI’s economy.
The campaign focuses on five principles: Responsibility, Integrity, Global Awareness, Honesty, and Transparency. It will highlight:
- How to identify suspicious transactions and why reporting them is important.
- The impact of money laundering and terrorist financing on businesses and communities.
- The importance of Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements and how to comply with them.
- Safe ways to report suspicious activities.
